Going High LOW

What to Wear with High Low Shirts

I'm a huge fan of the high low hem on skirts, dresses, and shirts. Skirts and dresses are probably the easiest to wear and pull off without having to much concern to as to what to match it up with. Shirts on the other hand can be a little tricky. Shirt hems in the front play a big role on what to wear and how to style it. For instance if you have a cropped top high low shirt the best pairing would be a high waist bodycon skirt or high waist cut off shorts. Then you have your typical one that hits the hips or a little lower. These shirts are more common and are fun to play around in the summer. They can we dressed up for work, going out, or just for your typical summer day.

What to Wear with High Low Shirts

1. The bodycon skirt. When doing a bodycon skirt keep all accessories sleek and chic. If this is a for a daytime look don't go to hoochy mama on it and keep the heel low. I wouldn't go above 3 - 3.5 inches. You don't have to play it to safe-- try a shoe with a bold print or some kind of print to tie it all together. Pick colors that are in your outfit.

2. Shorts. I don't know about you but I live in my cut off shorts during the summer months. They are a must for any closet! Shorts with a high low top are perfect for any summer daytime look-- from going shopping to just hanging out. If you're going to a music festival this summer try pairing up your top and shorts with Converse high tops and a backpack to carry all your essentials. Converse sneakers add a cool hip feel to any look, plus they are timeless pieces that will never go out of style.

Shirt: H&M, Shorts: DIY, Shoes: Forever21, Bag: Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses: Ray Bans, Headband: H&M

3. Skinny jeans. Rule rule rule! High low tops ALWAYS get paired with skinny jeans. This will keep you proportionate and not looking wide. This summer is all about print and colored jeans, take your spring skinny jeans and pair it up with with a high low top. Keep your accessories easy breezy-- pick a neutral toned bag to blend the whole look togethe

The Culture Of Stupidity

Open your eyes…..,
To the Culture Of Stupidity….,
It’s all around us….,
The Culture Of Stupidity ….! ! !

We can’t escape….,
From the Culture Of Stupidity ….,
It haunts and annoys us…,
The Culture Of Stupidity ….! ! !

It’s hard to believe it….,
The Culture Of Stupidity ….,
Why so many can’t see it….,
The Culture Of Stupidity …! ! !

So tell me, The Culture Of Stupidity ….,
How long will it go on….? ? ?

The answer is as simple as this….,

The Culture Of Stupidity shall live…..,
As long as humankind will exist…! ! !

The event was by Sponsored by Lovoka Vodka, a product to die for by the way,  it was such a success and they atleast gave their opinion on the event and definately liked the boat deco and the Dj's also added more that "we wouldnt have been to a better event, we should do this more".

House of Ashlou is an entertainment company that organises all kinds of events, although the two young man are still growng to their succes, it shows no sign that they are just learning. The House of Ashlou is combined of youg and ambitious man Ashely and Louie, quiet a lovely name and also very creative, they have started in a small town in Randfontein, west of Joburg and gradually grew from those lil paries to hosting events at Vaal... for them atleast, this was a great start!

The deco eas great, and the food, TO DIE FOR..Although there were some technical problems experienced they went all out to make their guests feel entertained!

This was their type of marketing:

Poster done by the most trusted designer, Gao.. a guy that does most of the Kalawa jazzmee posters and covers.these House of Ashlou guys do have cnnections, they are definately not doing it alot...

Ofcoz they couldn't do alone...family and friends that could help them make the event a success are also the BOMB!!

More blogs on entertainment still to come..THANKS!!!!
